Trauma Art Narrative TherapyTM (TANT)
Trauma Art
Narrative TherapyTM
(TANT) is a creative narrative cognitive exposure technique
created by Dr. Bills for use with adults and children. It is not art therapy, but uses drawing in a
sequenced manner to help resolve trauma-based symptoms and behaviors so that
traumatized individuals can move on to the next step in their healing and
recovery. Click here to

Trauma Recovery Empowerment (TREM) Group
Interventions
The TREM group intervention for women is an evidence-based model recommended in SAMHSA publications. Dr. Maxine Harris developed the TREM with staff and individuals participating in services from Community Connections, Inc. in Washington, DC. The model has also been adapted for both men and adolescent girls with histories of childhood trauma and abuse.
In addition to the training itself, follow-up Technical Assistance is offered to assist in implementing the groups.
Teams of staff from programs and agencies interested in being trained in the Women’s, Men’s and/or Adolescent Girls TREM Group Interventions are invited to contact the series coordinator

S.E.L.F Training: Bringing Trauma-Informed Care to the
Practice Setting
S.E.L.F. is the implementation tool of the nationally known, SAMHSA recognized Sanctuary Model. The creators of the Sanctuary Model have developed S.E.L.F. as a trauma-informed curriculum that stands on its own and can be adapted for use in behavioral health/human services settings with adults, children and adolescents in groups or individually.
S.E.L.F. is not a staged treatment model, but rather a nonlinear framework and shared language for addressing, in simple words, very complex challenges. S.E.L.F. permits staff and persons needing to heal and recover from trauma to focus on the results of exposure to trauma rather than trauma per se and focuses on four basic trauma impact domains:
o Loss of Safety
o Inability to manage Emotions
o Overwhelming Losses
o A paralyzed ability to plan for or even imagine a different Future.
