Future Activities
As noted, BHTEN will continue to develop courses and educational offerings that support the system transformation goals mentioned in the History/Mission Statement section. We will be working with other groups to bring experts into the Philadelphia area to support these initiatives as well as to support the systematic Strategic Planning efforts, which began in February 2004. In addition, BHTEN will continue to place emphasis on skill and competency based trainings and educational events that reflect behavioral and clinical changes on the part of participants. Finally, BHTEN will be an active partner as Philadelphia embraces evidence based practices such as services for those with multiple-occurring disorders, supported housing, supportive employment and medication management.
