This training is for individuals who have been practicing DBT Individual Psychotherapy in the context of a comprehensive program. It will build on existing skills and provide opportunities for feedback and consultation designed to increase the capacities necessary to formulate a DBT case.  The training will address the sections of DBT case conceptualization from DBT Pre-Treatment through the treatment of problem behaviors.  Following demonstrations of the strategies and concepts of each section, each team will work together to create a written case conceptualization for a current DBT patient

Learning Objectives: 
  1. Conceptualize Biosocial Theory and creating meaningful Life Worth Living Goals
  2. Create DBT primary and secondary targets
  3. Identify controlling variables for problem behaviors and creating a solution plan using DBT solutions
  4. Bring DBT solutions into a plan and develop meaningful outcomes
Intended Audience: 

This training assumes a strong baseline knowledge of DBT structure and components. It is for clinicians with experience in DBT individual psychotherapy. Trainers will not take time to orient to basic content of DBT.

Completion Requirements: 

Participants must attend entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates will be emailed to participants within 30 business days of training. Certificates of Attendance will be available to download from the Learning Hub once the evaluation is successfully submitted.
