This six-week series hosted through the DBHIDS Learning Hub is a combination of e-Learning, pre-recorded webinars, and live webinars. The 6 weeks are designed to give the staff of Recovery Housing, TIP Housing, Nursing homes and other congregate care providers an overview of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health as well as provide a fundamental knowledge about governmental regulations and standards. The series is also designed to ensure Managers, Directors and direct support staff receive therapeutic skills, resources, and knowledge regarding behavioral health conditions, support and services. In turn, staff will more confidently coordinate the services needed and wanted by those being assisted in the recovery process.
Learning objectives for each topic will be available on the LMS in weekly Resource Folders.
At the conclusion of this series Recovery House Managers & TIP Supervisors will be able to:
- Coordinate an array of Person-First services & supports that meet individual recovery goals.
- Develop a repertoire of resources and referral information to assist people receiving services.
- Assess the need for service and justify the level of care that best helps people in their recovery process.
