This eight-week series hosted through the DBHIDS Learning Hub will be a combination of asynchronous e-Learning, pre-recorded webinars, and live webinars. This training series will provide state-required and Philadelphia-specific information for new children’s behavioral health case managers on a variety of topics related to behavioral health treatment and other child-serving systems in Philadelphia. The series is designed to ensure case managers receive an equitable amount of therapeutic skills, resources, and knowledge. After completing the orientation series, case managers will more effectively coordinate useful and necessary services for children and families.
Learning Objectives: Learning objectives for each topic will be distributed to all attendees and are available upon request.
At the conclusion of this series Children’s Behavioral Health Case Mangers will be able to:
• Coordinate an array of Person-First services & supports that meet individual service goals.
• Develop a catalog of resources and referral information to assist people receiving services.
• Assess the need for service and justify the level of care that best meets the needs of individual children and families.
Children’s behavioral health case management staff
This eight-week series will be coordinated through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Assessment of learning will involve completion of all e-Learning courses, viewing of all recorded webinars, and participation during live webinars. Attendance will be monitored closely. Certificates will be available weekly on the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Participants missing .50 hour or more of any session will be required to make-up that day’s training.
