This 9-session series is designed to give new behavioral health case managers an overview of Philadelphia’s Department of Behavioral Health as well as provide a fundamental knowledge about governmental regulations and standards. The series is also designed to ensure DBH-CM’s receive an equitable amount of therapeutic skills, resources, and knowledge. In turn DBH-CM’s will more confidently coordinate the services needed and wanted by those being assisted in the recovery process.
At the conclusion of this series DBH-CM’S will be able to:
Coordinate an array of Person-First services & supports that meet individual recovery goals.
Develop a repertoire of resources and referral information to assist people receiving services.
Assess the need for service and justify the level of care that best helps people in their recovery process. Learning objectives for each topic will be distributed to all attendees, and are also available upon request if needed.
New Adult Behavioral Health Case Managers
Assessment of Learning will involve a Pre/Post-Test format and participation. Participants must answer 80% of post-tests questions correctly.
Attendance Requirement: Attendance will be monitored closely. Certificates will be given only upon completion of all 9 sessions. Participants missing .50 hour or more of any session will be required to make-up that day’s training.
