In case situations in which part or all of the child’s trauma includes childhood traumatic grief, it will be helpful for trainees to understand and be able to implement the Childhood Traumatic Grief work into the TF-CBT framework.  The didactic presentation will address Childhood Traumatic Grief and how to apply it clinically when using Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this presentation, the participant will be able to:

  • Discuss case conceptualization, where Childhood Traumatic Grief is present.
  • Describe how to implement the Childhood Traumatic Grief components.
  • Describe how to weave in and out of the regular TF-CBT and Childhood Traumatic Grief  components
