Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based treatment (1993) was developed in the 1980’s. This training is for individuals who have been practicing DBT Individual Psychotherapy in the context of a comprehensive program. This training will build on existing skills and provide opportunities for feedback and consultation designed to increase the capacities necessary for certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of this three day training participants will be able to

  • List steps in developing a DBT case formulation
  • Describe steps in completing an effective chain analysis
  • Identify at least 3 strategies/interventions for individual DBT psychotherapy
  • Identify steps in assisting an individual identify their Life Worth Living Goal
