Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based treatment (1993) was developed in the 1980’s. The goal of this presentation is for participants to become advanced DBT Skills Trainers and Coaches. This training is for individuals who have been practicing DBT Individual Psychotherapy in the context of a comprehensive program. This training will build on existing skills and provide opportunities for feedback and consultation designed to increase the capacities necessary for certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Feedback is provided by instructors and other training participants.
By the end of this three day training participants will be able to
- List steps in developing a DBT case formulation,
- Describe steps in completing an effective chain analysis
- Identify at least 3 strategies/interventions for individual DBT psychotherapy and steps in assisting an individual identify their Life Worth Living Goal.
