Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), an evidence-based treatment (1993) was developed in the 1980’s. The goal of this presentation is for participants to become advanced DBT Skills Trainers and Coaches. Building on previously learned DBT material, additional skills and strategies are presented to training participants and practiced in small groups. Feedback is provided by instructors and other training participants.
By the end of this three day training participants will be able to:
- Describe steps in developing a lesson plan for skills group
- Describe how to teach 4 skills that address challenging behaviors and experienes.
- Describe at least 3 strategies for targeting therapy-interfering behavior.
