The digital world inhabited by our children is an ever-evolving reality. While the internet provides wonderful opportunities for our young people to interact and learn, it can also be the source and means of bullying & gossip and other harmful behaviors. This workshop will explore this world and offer suggestions on how we can help our youth maintain their safety, create healthy & positive self-images and engage each othet civily. This training is made possible through the assistance of the Pennsylvania Youth Foundation, Elizabethtown, Pa.

- Examine patterns of social media use among young people;
- Cite issues arising from inappropriate use of social media; and,
- Outline prevention & intervention strategies to address these issues.
This introductory level course, is designed for all professionals (behavioral health specialists, teachers, social workers, etc.) who work with young people. Parents are also welcomed.
