This course is designed to address the significant changes made to the DSM that occurs in the DSM 5.
As a result of this training, participants will be able to:
- Summarize the organizational changes made to the DSM 5;
- Describe modifications to the multi-axial system in the DSM 5;
- Describe the importance of the emphasis on “dimensionality” in the DSM 5: and,
- Apply diagnostic strategies to specific diagnoses through case studies.
This intermediate level course, is designed for all professionals (behavioral health specialists, teachers, social workers, etc.) who work with young people and have had experience with the DSM 4.
Participants must attend entire presentation and complete a course evaluation in order to receive credits.
