The Trauma Narrative component can be difficult to implement with fidelity. Avoidance is common and getting the appropriate level of detail and standing your ground clinically with avoidant clients are common issues. The focus will be on this particular component both in terms of some additional didactic presentation and discussion as well as to provide opportunities to see the trainer demonstrate the skills live in role plays and to subsequently practice with the ability of the trainer to provide feedback.

Learning Objectives:
  1. Trainees will improve their knowledge and understanding about implementation of trauma narration.
  2. Trainees will improve their knowledge about how gradual exposure is connected to the trauma narration process.
  3. Trainees will observe the trainer in a live role play and then demonstrate skills through practice in dyads or small groups, in eliciting a chapter of trauma narration.
Intended Audience:

PACTS trained clinicians

Instructional Level:

Intermediate

Completion Requirements:

Participants must attend entire presentation and submit an evaluation to receive credits.
