Most educators agree that bullying behavior in girls is different from the bullying behaviors of boys. This workshop will explore that differnce, focusing on female bullying behavior and relational aggression. Particular emphasis will be given to the use of various social media to engage in harmful behavior.
By the end of this workshop, participants will have:
- Examined the current research on female bullying, relational aggression and friendship patterns
- Examined the use of social media among adolescent females
- Reviewed legal concerns surrounding bullying and cyber-bullying
- Outlined prevention and intervention strategies to address these issues
This introductory level course is designed for all professionals (behavioral health specialists, teachers, social workers, etc.) who work with young people. Parents are also welcome.
