Therapists have requested additional training specific to implementing TF-CBT with young children, in order to enhance the TF-CBT skills learned in prior trainings and on consultation calls. This training will include both didactic presentation and experiential exercises, including role plays, to help participants integrate knowledge of TF-CBT with clinical skills. To maximize the relevance of this session, participant feedback will be used to guide the content and specific areas addressed in this training
By the end of the presentation, the participant will be able to:
- Practice skills in implementing TF-CBT components ; with particular focus on clinical work with young children (ages 3-9 years)
- Gain knowledge of effective strategies when using TF-CBT with young children (ages 3-9 years)
- Develop knowledge and skill in implementing TF-CBT with the caregivers (parents, grandparents, custodial adult) of young children
