Therapists have requested additional training specific to implementing TF-CBT with young children, in order to enhance the TF-CBT skills learned in prior trainings and on consultation calls.  This training will include both didactic presentation and experiential exercises, including role plays, to help participants integrate knowledge of TF-CBT with clinical skills.  To maximize the relevance of this session, participant feedback will be used to guide the content and specific areas addressed in this training

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of the presentation, the participant will be able to:

  • Practice skills in implementing TF-CBT components ; with particular focus on clinical work with young children (ages 3-9 years)
  • Gain knowledge of effective strategies when using TF-CBT with young children (ages 3-9 years)
  • Develop knowledge and skill in implementing TF-CBT with the caregivers (parents, grandparents, custodial adult) of young children
