The mean behavior exhibited by some girls is changing…and not for the better! Relational aggression and accompanying behaviors are intensifying in scope and seriousness. Additionally the behaviors seen in middle and high schools are now being exhibited at the elementary level. This workshop will look at the dynamics involved in this behavior, with suggestions for prevention and intervention.
This workshop is made possible through the support of the PA Masonic Youth Foundation.
- Defined relational aggression and the characteristics of female bullying behavior;
- Explored the on-line behavior of youth and the effect on those targeted;
- Reviewed legal concerns surrounding bullying and relational aggression; and,
- Outlined prevention & intervention strategies to address these issues.
This introductory level course, is designed for all professionals (behavioral health specialists, teachers, social workers, etc.) who work with young people. Parents are also welcomed. There are no prerequisites for this program.
Participants must attend entire presentation and complete a course evaluation in order to receive credits.
