This is a workshop on the certification process for drug and alcohol counselors, prevention specialists, clinical supervisors, case managers, criminal justice addictions professionals, co-occurring disorders professionals, allied staff, recovery specialists and intervention professionals. If you’ve ever wondered what certification is all about and have wanted some straight answers, now is your chance!
This informative workshop will consist of an overview of Counselor Certification (CAAC, CADC, CAADC), the Associate Addiction Counselor Levels I & II (AAC), Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS), Certified Prevention Specialist (CPS), Certified Allied Addiction Practitioner (CAAP), Certified Case Manager (CCSM), Certified Criminal Justice Addictions Professional (CCJP), Certified Co-Occurring Disorders Professional (CCDP), the Certificate of Competency in Problem Gambling, the Certified Recovery Specialist (CRS), and the new Certified Intervention Professional (CIP). Time will be allotted for questions and answers. Materials will be distributed to attendees.
Mary Jo Mather, Pennsylvania Certification Board (PCB) Executive Director, will present this free informative workshop. All information on the certification and recertification process will be thoroughly discussed and in some instances updated.
