As the latest digital drama in the lives of today’s youth, “sexting” is proving to be extremely problematic and confusing for the adults who are tasked with handling it.  This introductory workshop will explore the phenomenon of “sexting”, as well ans the legal & social consequences of the activity.

Learning Objectives: 

By the end of the workshop, participants will have…

  • Defined “sexting” and the social, and psychological issues surrounding it;
  • Explored the legal, social, and psychological consequences of sexting;
  • Identified the responsibility of schools and agencies in addressing the issue; and,
  • Listed possible practical interventions, protocols, and procedures.
Intended Audience: 

This introductory level course, is designed for all professionals (behavioral health specialists, teachers, social workers, etc.) who work with young people.  Parents are also welcomed.
