This workshop introduces Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction tools and outlines how regular and consistent practice of these skills can support well-being and expand our resilience as providers in the helping profession. In this session we will explore patterns of thinking and learn some tools to support less over-identification with our thoughts and be able to stay connected to the present moment.
As with all psychological interventions, please consult a trained mental health professional prior to beginning if you are concerned about any potential adverse reactions
1. Identify the connection between our thoughts and our sense of stability in the body.
2. Describe several mindfulness exercises that teach how to work with our thoughts with more resilience
