Our nervous system constantly provides bottom-up feedback to our brain and guides many of our behaviors and internal responses to threat or opportunity. In this workshop, we will explore the nervous system and the poly-vagal theory to learn how this bottom up communication can be mediated by simple practices we can use every day to support greater flexibility in our response to stress and challenge.
1. Describe the importance of nervous system regulation to support resilience and well-being.
2. Define the poly-vagal theory and how it relates to safety
3. Use simple body-based tools to support stability.
Clinical Behavioral Health Staff
Participants must attend entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates will be emailed to participants within 30 business days of training. Certificates of Attendance will be available to download from the Learning Hub once the evaluation is successfully submitted.
