The purpose of this presentation is to provide cultural competency around the sexual orientation of Bisexuality. Recent studies indicate that 52% of the LGBTQIA population identify as Bisexual. This training will provide up to date information around appropriate terms, language, health and mental health data as well as clinical concerns for this population. The participants will walk away with a clearer and more in depth understanding of Bisexuality and how to show up as an ally to Bisexual colleagues, staff, clients, peers, etc.

Learning Objectives: 

1. Participants will leave knowing the most up to date language, terms, definitions and research about Bisexuality and the Bisexual community
2. Participants will gain a more in depth understanding of common experiences among the Bisexual community within the workplace and in the world
3. Participants will unlearn and debunk common myths, stereotypes, and misconceptions about the Bisexual community
4. Participants will learn about ways to effectively meet the needs of Bisexual clients as well as show up as more culturally competent around the needs and experiences of the Bisexual community
