Behavioral Health Training Specialist
Donisha Burke’s background in behavioral health encompasses work with serious emotional disturbance in youth and adults with serious mental illness in Philadelphia, Bucks and Montgomery County. Donisha’s work also includes providing crisis intervention, community support services along with group, individual, family and couples counseling. Donisha has worked in the social services industry for 10 years. She has been trained in various evidenced based practices including: Eco-systemic Structural Family Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Person Centered Practices. Donisha is experienced in cross systems collaboration with stakeholders within the DBHIDS community. As a native of Philadelphia, she strongly believes that its residents are resilient and have the ability to recover from traumatic experiences with appropriate support, psychoeducation and advocacy. Donisha is an alumna of Rosemont College where she received her Master’s in Counseling Psychology. As the social service industry continues to transform, Donisha’s current areas of concentration are on spirituality and contemporary social issues and how they impact health and wellness.
