Behavioral Health Training Specialist

Kalma has spent almost 40 years working in community behavioral health, the last twenty-five of which have been in training and consultation. In her current position at BHTEN, in addition to being trained as a trainer in the Community Resilience Model, Kalma developed and implemented a flagship trauma training initiative, now in its 20th year that also includes addressing the impact of trauma work on staff.  She has presented locally, regionally and nationally. She is a strong cross-systems advocate for trauma/resilience-informed, recovery oriented behavioral health and other human services. Kalma has a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Boston University and is Certified as a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner.
