Public Health Coordinating Program Analyst

Leonia Johnson is a proud Philadelphia native, artist, community leader/activist and Therapist. She attended Lincoln University in Pennsylvania, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology; and later received a Master of Science degree in Counseling from Cairn University. Throughout her career she has served in various settings, implementing healthy practices in order to serve humanity at large while addressing the intersections of culture, race, gender, mental health and spirituality. From organizing in her community, speaking on race, religion, and other topics, working with “At Risk-Youth”, to helping dual diagnosed individuals and returning citizens within the justice system, Miss Johnson knows it to be her passion (and believes it to be her calling) to see the truth produces change in society. She loves her niece, Peyton, all melanated people, The Philadelphia Eagles and working with youth and young adults from various backgrounds. Leonia is active within her church and community and served one of the youngest Block Captains the city of Philadelphia for the past 15 years. One of her aims in counseling is to practically assist people who struggle while enabling them to see that hope and recovery is possible. Another aim in working with young people is to equip the nation’s future leaders with a healthy world view, assist with mentorship and display how truth can be culturally relevant while bringing practical help, healing and unity to all who pursue recovery and wholeness.
