About This Course

This presentation will give professionals a clear understanding of cultural competency within the LGBTQI and LatinX communities. Participants will gain fundamental knowledge of the LGBTQI+ & Latinx community, including understanding politically correct terms. The presenter will help participants explore issues that these communities have faced, or are currently facing and engage them in critical thinking.

Learning Objectives: 

• Defining and understanding cultural competency
• Fundamental knowledge of LGBTQI+ & Latinx terms
• Explore issues, past or current, that these communities are facing or have faced
• Understand basic background of the culture & climate for both communities, including history

Participants will have to complete entire training along with the post test and evaluation in order to receive credits.
