About This Course
Psycho-Educational interventions for people who have experienced trauma, complex trauma, vicarious traumatization and/or traumatic loss are increasingly used to promote resilience and recovery. This webinar will help participants learn content and methods for enhancing psycho-education and family education interventions, as well as what to avoid, based on available research. Participants will have an opportunity to select an adult target population within their area of interest and expertise, and begin developing a psycho-educational intervention for that population.
By the end of this training participants will be able to:
• Define psycho-education for trauma recovery
• List at least 3 recommended content areas to cover in an effective psycho-educational intervention for trauma
• List at least 3 best practice principles for delivering psycho-education for trauma and traumatic loss to adults
• Begin to develop a psycho-educational intervention for a particular issue or adult population
Provider Staff at all levels in Behavioral Health & other human service systems
Participants will have to complete entire training along with the post test and evaluation in order to receive credits.
BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
As an IACET Accredited Provider, BHTEN offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. BHTEN is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for this program.
