About This Course
This course is designed to define vicarious trauma and understand its impact on the helper professional. This webinar will explore sign and symptoms while identifying preventative strategies to intervene and decrease its impact.
a. Define and discuss vicarious trauma (VT) as well as briefly review related conditions such as, secondary trauma, compassion fatigue, and burnout.
b. Review signs and symptoms of vicarious traumatization as well as the impact it has on helpers.
c. Discuss applicable strategies for preventing and intervening with the symptoms of VT.
