About This Course
This interactive educational activity provides an overview and opportunity for participant discussion on the
development of comprehensive tobacco-free policy. Treatment modality and scope of services are taken
into consideration when reviewing sample narratives to define tobacco-free environments, employee
training and supports, and tobacco treatment integrated into existing client services. Recommendations
are designed to advance recovery-oriented interventions and implementation strategy to denormalize
tobacco use in the treatment setting.
• Describe eight content areas of a comprehensive tobacco-free policy.
• Describe three components of a tobacco-free policy implementation strategy and the related activities for each component.
Employees responsible for writing organization policy and procedures.
Participants will attend the training, complete any interactive activities, finish the post-test questions, and submit their evaluation within 7 days in order to receive a CEU. Certificates to be emailed within 30 business days after completing the post- test on zoom and evaluation within 7 days.
BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
As an IACET Accredited Provider, BHTEN offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. BHTEN is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for this program.
