About This Course

This introductory program is designed to provide a clear and practical foundation in Ecosystemic Structural Family Therapy (ESFT). Grounded in systemic and structural principles, ESFT offers a structured framework for assessment and intervention that strengthens parental leadership, attachment, regulation, and family organization. This program introduces participants to the ESFT Checklist—See, Understand, Respond—as a guiding clinical compass for organizing observation, meaning-making, and intervention in real time. The program will outline the four primary targets, equipping professionals to identify where disruption is occurring and how to intervene systemically. Finally, the session differentiates the six stages of every session, providing professionals with a predictable roadmap for engagement, healing and change. Through video recorded family sessions participants will gain practical tools for intervention.

Learning Objectives: 

• Participants will be able to define the ESFT checklist (see, understand, respond).
• Participants will be able to describe the four primary targets of assessment and change.
• Participants will be able to differentiate the six stages of treatment for every session.

Completion Requirements: 

Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.
