About This Course

This interactive training series is targeted at behavioral health providers who work with individuals with justice-involvement. Participants will engage in a 5-week blended learning course consisting of live webinars, pre-recorded webinars and self-guided e-learning modules. These courses, many of which have been developed by members of the Drexel psychology department, will help providers to better understand and serve the special forensic considerations for their individuals. Participants will be able to complete self-guided material on their own schedule.

Learning Objectives: 

  • Recognize the levels of the Sequential Intercept Model and identify resources available at each intercept point.
  • Understand how criminogenic thinking impacts individuals with justice-involvement.
  • Identify risk factors and protective factors for recidivism.
  • Recognize considerations for individuals falling within a special forensic population.

Completion Requirements: 

Participants must attend each of the live session, they must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of completion will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Completion through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account. No partial CE/CEU's will be awarded, a total of 12.0 CE/CEU's will be awarded for completion of all 5 weeks only.

 

Credit Statements:

BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU. 
As an IACET Accredited Provider, BHTEN offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard.  BHTEN is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for this program.

Behavioral Health Training and Education Network BHTEN, #1779, is approved as an ACE provider to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program. Regulatory boards have the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit. ACE provider approval period: 9/22/22-9/22/25. Social workers completing this course receive 12.0 General continuing education credits.
