About This Course
This course will offer tools and strategies to help loved ones battling addiction, including advice on how to communicate with them effectively. This training will also provide information on how addiction occurs and the signs to look for. Participants will learn strategies to cope with these challenges.

Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.

Lauren M. Krebs has been working in the field of drug and alcohol prevention for the past six years throughout various areas of Pennsylvania, including Philadelphia, Lancaster, and Harrisburg. She currently serves as the Prevention Program Supervisor for the Dauphin County Department of Drug and Alcohol Prevention and a Trainer for Penncares Support Services. Lauren attended Bloomsburg University for her undergraduate degree and Capella University for her Master’s in Public Health degree. She is also a Certified Peer Specialist. Lauren has found a great passion for prevention work, believing that education and empowerment are essential to building a stronger tomorrow and helping individual live happy, healthy lives free of drugs and alcohol.
