About This Course
Children with externalizing disorders experience risk for a range of social difficulties, academic failure, and other comorbidities. Evidence-based interventions are largely based on principles of positive reinforcement and engage parents and teachers in the child’s treatment plan. This presentation will review this evidence base and spotlight interventions that have been shown to be most effective for youth with externalizing disorders across decades of research including reward systems, differential reinforcement, and strategies for scaffolding the environment.
