About This Course
This workshop introduces mindfulness tools and outlines how regular and consistent practice of these skills can support well-being and expand our resilience as providers in the helping profession. In this session we will explore mindfulness practices in everyday activities, like waking up or eating lunch. These everyday practices allow us to build momentum for sustained mindfulness practice in the midst of our busy lives.
Learning Objectives:
- Discuss how mindfulness practices can increase a sense of well-being.
- Describe using practices that can be easily incorporated into our everyday activities to increase well-being, contentment, and positive states.

Completion Requirements:
Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.

BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
As an IACET Accredited Provider, BHTEN offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. BHTEN is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for this program.

Monica Sullivan, MEd, has devoted her career to working with children and families as well as the organizations that support them. At the Health Federation of Philadelphia she incorporates creativity into her training sessions, along with a strong focus on wellness-based activities (like yoga) and mindfulness. Monica has provided and managed diverse, interactive professional development programs throughout her career. She is dedicated to integrating brain science and body-based practices into her innovative on-site training sessions. Monica is a mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) facilitator and a certified yoga teacher. She is also a certified instructor of the Community Resilience Model ©, a body-based model to restore balance and encourage optimism and hope. She seeks ways to integrate these reflective practices in her work with organizations to promote trauma responsive environments that build staff and client resilience. When she’s not assisting Philadelphia organizations to become more trauma-informed, Monica enjoys cooking and baking, being outside, making art and reading.
