About This Course
The goal of this presentation is to provide a look at the impact of COVID from an individual and collective behavioral health lens, and discuss the lingering effects of isolation, health anxiety, and pandemic fatigue as people move back to the re-imagined work, school, and social environment, and the potential impact on physical and mental wellness. This course will also introduce and explore self-care coping skills through interactive discussion and activities. The lingering effects of isolation, health anxieties and pandemic fatigue continue to affect us as the pandemic continues past its second year. The long-term effects of this can impact our physical and mental wellness, and will put a strain on behavioral health services, and providers of service, for the next several years. We will discuss these ongoing uncertainties, the need for advance planning and preparedness, and we will discuss self-care in the anticipation of greater behavioral health service needs.
