About This Course

Participants will increase awareness of trauma. They will learn the tenets of trauma informed care and discuss ways these practices can be implemented into their organizations. Participants will be encouraged to workshop their own organizational policies and have the opportunity to gain technical assistance from peers and facilitators on their policy within the workshop. They will brainstorm ways to shift into a more trauma informed workplace culture.

Learning Objectives: 

  1. Develop an awareness of trauma
  2. Learn the tenets of trauma informed care.
  3. Workshop their organizational policy.
  4. See diversity equity and inclusion efforts as vital parts of trauma informed policy and organizational culture.

 

Intended Audience: 

Executive directors and program directors who have the ability to influence program and institutional policy. Direct service staff are welcome to attend too but may have less ability to influence policy change directly.

 

Instructional Level: 

Intermediate

 

Completion Requirements: 

Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.

 

Credit Statements:

BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU. 
As an IACET Accredited Provider, BHTEN offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard.  BHTEN is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for this program.
