The U.S. Surgeon General, Dr. Vivek Murthy, issued, “A Surgeon General’s Advisory on Protecting Youth Mental Health”. Girls are twice as likely to experience clinical depression and the National Institute of Health found an increase in the prevalence of a diagnosed mental or behavioral health disorder among adolescents between 2016 and 2024.
