About This Course
In this half-day training, providers will build skills and knowledge to support immigrant survivors of intimate partner violence with cultural humility and a trauma-informed lens. By recognizing the impacts of marginalization in magnifying abuse, participants can identify tactics used against immigrant survivors and the barriers that immigrants face when seeking out services and safety. With this knowledge, participants will practice safety planning skills and better understand their role as providers. Participants will also learn the landscape of resources and options available for immigrant survivors in the Philadelphia region, including legal pathways to citizenship and housing options.
