Max Shmidheiser
Owner/Founder
Dr. Max Shmidheiser is the owner and founder of Oasis Neurobehavioral Health, LLC- a teletherapy practice specializing in psychological support for individuals with neurological injury. Prior to starting Oasis Neurobehavioral Health, LLC, he served as the Clinical Advisor of MossRehab Concussion Center, which he co-founded at MossRehab Hospital over 11 years ago, and as a clinical neuropsychologist at Drucker Brain Injury Center at MossRehab. As a clinical psychologist, he is Board Certified through the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in clinical neuropsychology, he is a certified school psychologist, and he is also certified through the Brain Injury Association of America as a Certified Brain Injury Specialist- Trainer (CBIST). After earning his PsyD from Widener University, he completed a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology through Harvard Medical School and Cambridge Health Alliance. He is a board-member of the Mind Your Brain Foundation, a statewide co-chair of the Brain Safety Fair Committee for the Brain Injury Association of Pennsylvania, and an Associate Fellow at the University of Pennsylvania’s Center for Public Health Initiatives. He has a master’s degree in bioethics (MBE) from the University of Pennsylvania; he is currently the chair of the ethics committee for the state psychological association, and he teaches clinical ethics at the University of Pennsylvania.
