Rhonda Johnson

Public Health Planning and Innovation Liaison Supervisor & Coordinator

Rhonda brings with her over 20 years of experience working with individuals battling the disease of Addiction and Behavioral Health challenges. Prior to her transition to the PI division, Ms. Johnson served as the Project Supervisor to the DBHIDS Recovery House Initiative. Her previous work experience also includes: Assistant Director of a New Way of Life for Women MAT program and Director of Acts Christian Transitional Services. In Rhonda’s new role she will support the initiatives of the Public Health Unit to include cross-systems work with the division of Behavioral Health with a particular focus on addiction services. Ms. Johnson will oversee the Opioid Overdose Prevention & Narcan Rescue Training. Ms. Johnson will ensure the alignment, coordination and integration of a variety of initiatives supported by the Planning Innovation and Office of Behavioral Health divisions. Rhonda’s special interests include, reading in her spare time, shopping and spending time with family. She describes herself as a team player, dependable and always ready to step-in when needed. Ms. Johnson is excited to continue to be a part of the DBHIDS family in a new capacity and looks forward to bringing her knowledge, skills, and passion for assisting individuals and communities to this position.
