Vanessa McCloskey

Public Health Program Analyst

Vanessa McCloskey is currently a Public Health Program Analyst in the Education and Training Unit at The Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbility Services (DBHIDS). Vanessa earned a bachelor’s degree in Social Welfare from Temple University in 1994 and a master’s degree in Public Health Management and Administration from The College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2018. Vanessa is a certified Mental Health First Aid Adult trainer, a QPR (Question, Persuade and Refer) trainer and a Certified Applied Positive Psychology Practitioner (CAPP). Vanessa also facilitates the Service Excellence training for newly hired staff at DBHIDS. Vanessa has over thirty years of experience in the fields of social services and public health and is currently taking trauma awareness courses with the goal of future certification.
