Ryan Skimmons, Forensic Training Specialist

BHTEN is please to introduce their first Forensic Training Specialist – Ryan Skimmons. With over a decade of experience in the Greater Philadelphia Area’s behavioral health system, Ryan has worked with non-profit, community, and managed care settings.  He is experienced in training development and delivery, behavioral health program development, procurements, clinical interventions, as well as clinical and administrative supervision.  Previously, Ryan worked as a director of residential treatment programs for adults with severe behavioral health needs, providing crisis intervention and individual and group therapy in those settings. Ryan has also provided services in outpatient settings and in the community for youth and adolescents on the autism spectrum.  He earned his M.S. in Psychology from Villanova University.

As a Forensic Training Specialist, Ryan will be working to create and deliver trainings regarding the justice system and how it interacts with the behavioral health system, i.e. – how to navigate the criminal justice system, as well as how to work with the forensic population (identifying special clinical needs).
