
Lisa Quintana
Program Director
Currently serving as Program Director at BHTEN, Lisa brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles as a Behavioral Health Therapist and as the Community-Based Program Director at Merakey Behavioral Health in Philadelphia, PA, overseeing Case Management and Permanent Supported Housing teams. During her 16 years at Merakey, Lisa managed programs across multiple levels, focusing on staff development, team morale, and ensuring regulatory and budgetary compliance.
Lisa’s extensive background also includes teaching, as she was emergency certified to teach K-12 students and spent three years substitute teaching in special education classrooms, focusing on math and reading skills. Additionally, she served as a Board Member for the Pennsylvania Association for Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services and as a commissioner for the Psychiatric Rehabilitation Association.
Lisa’s leadership style is centered on empowering her staff by recognizing their strengths, providing robust training, and maintaining a consistent focus on their well-being.
Beyond her professional achievements, Lisa is passionate about advocacy and community service. She has volunteered for organizations such as the Red Paw Emergency Relief team and as a crisis homeless outreach worker. She has also worked with State Representative Gene DiGirolamo to advocate for Narcan administration by first responders and the implementation of the Prescription Drug Monitoring Program in Pennsylvania at the state level.
In her personal life, Lisa enjoys spending time with family and friends, boating, and cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles. Her enduring passion for working with individuals struggling with addiction continues to drive her efforts to educate, support, and create lasting change in the field.
