Jamie Eaddy

Dr. Jamie Eaddy is a theologian, thanatologist, and founder of Thoughtful Transitions, LLC, where she supports individuals navigating life’s challenging transitions as a death and grief doula. She is dedicated to dismantling harmful systems and fostering a stigma-free environment for processing grief. Dr. Eaddy also educates future chaplains and mental health professionals as an adjunct professor at various theological institutions. She serves as a Grief Doula for The Anti-Violence Partnership of Philadelphia, offering support to survivors of crime and suicide. With her credentials as a clinically trained chaplain, certified trauma professional, certified death doula, and thanatologist, Dr. Eaddy is highly equipped for her roles. Her work has been featured on “The Samantha Bee Show” and in the documentary “A Hope that Lights the Way.” As an author and creator of “The Ratchet Grief ProjectTM,” she advocates for holistic healing. Passionate about empathy, equity, love, and justice, Dr. Eaddy is a dynamic speaker who believes in their power to drive change.
