About This Course
Among various approaches to substance use and recovery, Harm Reduction aims to eliminate degrading stigma and meet the person where they are at. This introductory level course provides an overview of harm reduction history, philosophy, and practices. The presentation will include evidence-based harm reduction practices in working with a person or group with substance abuse disorders.

- Describe the philosophy of harm reduction
- List various ways harm reduction can be applied in practice
- Identify the benefits of a harm reduction approach

Completion Requirements:
Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.
