About This Course
The population of the United States is graying more and more every year. That aging population is especially susceptible to issues that stem from problem gambling. During this presentation we will review the unique circumstances that make seniors vulnerable to problem gambling. We will discuss signs and symptoms of problem gambling that can alert friends, family members, and caregivers that a loved one could be in trouble. Problem gambling is something that can be treated! Resources for prevention and treatment of problem gambling will also be discussed.

- Explain the reasons Problem Gambling can be especially dangerous for an aging population
- List the resources available to prevent and treat Problem Gambling in seniors

Completion Requirements:
Participants must attend entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All certificates will be automatically be generated at the completion of the course evaluation via the DBHIDS Learning Hub.
Credit Statements:
No CE's are being offered for this course. A certificate of completion will be awarded with the completion of the evaluation.

Joshua is a Prevention Specialist with Compass Mark, where he has worked since 2014 after earning his master’s degree in education from Saint Francis University in Loretto, PA. As a Prevention Specialist Joshua has taught classroom lessons K-12 and college age, community education sessions, represents Compass Mark at local health fairs, and works with various community partners to champion the cause of prevention! Most recently Joshua has joined the Student Assistance Program training team at Compass Mark.
