About This Course
Having tools for safety planning is important when helping survivors. We will aim to help attendees to develop skills needed to support survivors while also learning to keep ourselves centered.
Learning Objectives:
- Develop tools to be creative with safety planning.
- Learn skills to stay or keep self centered during safety planning.
- Leave with new options and ideas to use in specific, self-identified moments.
Intended Audience:
Anyone in a helping profession that may come into contact with intimate partner violence survivors.

Completion Requirements:
Participants must attend the entire session, participate in all activities, and submit an evaluation within the 7 days of training to receive credits and a certificate. All CEU certificates and certificates of attendance will be received through the DBHIDS Learning Hub. Once you have completed your evaluation you will have access to your CEU or Certificate of Attendance through your DBHIDS Learning Hub Account.

BHTEN is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) and is authorized to issue the IACET CEU.
As an IACET Accredited Provider, BHTEN offers CEUs for its programs that qualify under the ANSI/IACET Standard. BHTEN is authorized by IACET to offer CEUs for this program.

Scott Sprunger (he/him) is a community educator and facilitator at Lutheran Settlement House’s Bilingual Domestic Violence Program. He has been involved in the anti-violence movement for six years as a volunteer and one year as a professional advocate. His previous work includes healthcare chaplaincy and community organizing.
