Justice System Project Coordinator

Mrs. Hooven is the Justice System Project Coordinator for ASERT (Autism Services, Education, Resources and Training) where she is using her former background in PA’s Juvenile Justice System, and her passion for advocating for children and adults living with autism, by training probation officers, police officers, attorneys, judges, correctional officers, first responders and others employed in the justice system to raise awareness of the impact an autism diagnosis has on those individuals involved in our juvenile and criminal justice systems. Prior to Mrs. Hooven’s decision to stay home with her three children, one of whom has an Autism Spectrum Disorder, she was a Juvenile Court Consultant for the Pennsylvania Juvenile Court Judges Commission, a Home and School Visitor for Central Dauphin School District and a Juvenile Probation Officer for Dauphin County Juvenile Probation. Mrs. Hooven’s passion is in educating and raising awareness of Autism Spectrum Disorders as well as advocating for families loving a child with an ASD.
