Kelly Sagastume
Child Advocate Social Worker and Program Manager
Kelly Sagastume (she/her) serves as a Child Advocate Social Worker and Program Manager of Project PROTECT at the Support Center for Child Advocates. She is responsible for clients who are child victims of human trafficking (CVHT) with open cases in family and/or criminal court and coordinating services to CVHT served by Child Advocates at large. She also dedicates her time to local resource development and macro-level policy advocacy for CVHT, specifically through her convening of the Philadelphia Juvenile Anti-Trafficking Coalition. Prior to her work at Child Advocates, she worked as a Victim Advocate with the Salvation Army’s New Day to Stop Trafficking Program, where she conducted initial screenings and intakes of newly identified victims with the Philadelphia Police Department/Special Victims Unit. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania’s School of Social Policy & Practice where she received her Masters of Social Work with a specialization in Child Welfare and Child Well-being.
